Firm History

Lee, Mongelli & Associates services individual and business accounts, and has a recognized specialty in dental practices. The areas of practice include preparation of financial statements and reports, tax preparation and planning, consulting, and payroll processing, as well as assisting in dental practice purchase and sale transitions. The firm’s success has been based on the “team approach” to helping clients. The firm has always given prompt attention and performed quality work. Lee, Mongelli & Associates maintains a presence in the dental field by lecturing at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine annually to future dentists, as well as working closely with other professionals such as lawyers, brokers, and consultants who specialize in the dental field.

• Gary Mongelli, Partner
  Gary serves as the firm’s managing partner and is the director of the firm’s taxation and consulting department. Gary has over fifteen years of business management and more than fifteen years at public accounting firms. He has diversified experience with emphasis in strategic planning, financial consulting, tax planning and compliance. Gary has a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Metropolitan State University of Denver and a Master’s in Taxation from Denver University.
• Sarah Martin, CPS, Accounting Manager
  A keystone employee, Sarah has been an integral part of operations with the company since 2013. Sarah has a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Regis University and guides every aspect of our accounting services from payroll to tax preparation.
• Kani Kasirajan, CPA, ACA, Tax Manager
  Kani started with the firm in 2018, bringing more than 10 years of experience to assist clients in financial statement preparation and tax consulting. She holds a Master’s in Commerce and an Associate Chartered Accountant certification from India. Kani is also recertified as a CPA under GAAP.
• Simona Wang, CPA, Tax Manager
  Simona joined our firm in Dec 2023 as a tax manager. She received Master of Accountancy from University of Denver in 2017. Simona is bringing 7 years’ experience in corporate accounting and public accounting.
• Jordan Smith, Accounting Manager
  Jordan has a varied background in client services and accounting. He graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a bachelor’s in accounting and plans to pursue his CPA certification. Jordan has been with the firm since early 2020 and is actively involved in all aspects of our accounting services including tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, and consultation.
• Yelena Giganova, EA, Senior Staff Accountant
  Lena has over ten years of experience as a CPA under IFRS and is working towards recertification as a CPA under GAAP. She joined the team in 2021 and brings more than 20 years of experience with her. Lena is currently an Enrolled Agent and holds numerous international certifications in accounting.
• Veronika Giganova, EA, Senior Tax Accountant
  Veronika currently holds a Master’s in Information Science and Computer Engineering. She is working toward receiving her Master’s in Taxation. Veronika is an Enrolled Agent with experience in tax representation, compliance, and preparation of individual and business tax returns.
• CiCi Jackson, Staff Accountant
  CiCi Jackson is an accounting major at the University of Phoenix and has 4 years of tax and accounting experience. CiCi is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and is working towards her EA license. She joined the team in 2024, helping with individual and business tax preparation, accounting, and payroll.
• TJ Jad, Staff Accountant
  TJ received his Bachelors in Accounting with a minor in Economics from CU Denver. He’s been a part of the team since 2023 and brings more than 8 years of experience from tax preparation, accounting, and banking services.
• Krystal Tempest, Staff Accountant
  Krystal has over 10 years’ experience with payroll, bookkeeping, business taxes, customer service and business consulting. She joined the team in 2024.
• Shannon Richey, Marketing/New Client Coordinator
  Shannon has an entrepreneurial background and successfully ran her own business for several years. She joined the team in 2016 to help develop new business and assist with new client transitions.
• Samatha Gentala, Administrative Assistant
  Samantha joined the team in 2022. Previously she volunteered as an admin for Littleton Public Schools and assisted with the day-to day operations of her husband’s small business.
